Being Transformed – Followers Made New!
Introduction – The study will be based in Romans, a book about being transformed and made new in our relationship with Christ.
Paul in writing to the Romans is eager to share the whole gospel with them. Knowing they have come to faith in Christ and aware of the pitfalls along the way both theological and practical, he writes to teach and encourage them and us to know a righteousness from God that is revealed in the gospel that is by faith from first to last! (Romans 1:16-17)
We encourage everyone to read through the book of Romans in January to get the big picture of the whole book (a reading schedule is in the IGNITE brochure available at the Information Center and online), but we will study just chapters 5-8.
In chapters 5-8 Paul clearly establishes how it is that those of us who have come to faith as followers of Christ are made new in a relationship with him as we experience His grace. There will be 5 teaching sessions – the outline is below.
Memory verses have also been selected from each section for each month and everyone is encouraged to learn them (listed below).
